INVESTORS AND SPONSORS
Much of today's television comedy totally ignors the state of our world.
We think that present audiences feel these shows to be disingenuous and somewhat out of touch.
Instead 99 Percent Gang embraces reflection and discussion of our lives in chaos through comedy. Yes it's a bold and refreshing approach... Think Robin Hood - meets - All in the Family!
We'd like to welcome Pabst Blue Ribbon, and their sister company Primo Hawiian Beer as
the show's first official product placed in the hands of our actors. Our show featurs a Hawiian
character and we are including humor specific to anudiences in the fiftieth state!
Bulk Candy Store dot com is now our official supplier of lollipops to Lollipop Louie
when he makes his debut in episode two...
POST PRODUCTION PIPELINE
Once principal photography is completed on each episode
we turn the post-production pipeline over to the very capable hands of one
Mr. Christopher Alexander, our chief editor.
Chris Simmons joins in as Visual Effects Supervisor,
(if you don't notice his work... then he's done an outstanding job).
Our production company ThiaMedia Studios LLC signs on as a SAG-AFTRA signator allowing us to showcase top talent both in our regualar cast and a through a string of special guest stars.
Actors Thomas Analwalt, Satchel Andre´, C. Stephen Foster, Charlotte Gulezian, and Mo' Kanekoa meet at the studio for their first round-table read of the scripts, and then start rehearsals on the sets.
VETERAN ART DEPARTMENT
Production Designer and Art Director Daryl Hoss comes aboard!
Daryl is active in VFT-LA, Veterans in Film and Television Los Angeles
and is our coordinator in offering more opportunities to veterans in the industry
through working on our show. In cooperation with VETS MENTORING VETS .Org
Liz Stuart then dresses and decorates the sets, and Coordinates Product Placements.
MARKETING & PROMOTION
Our outstanding Publicity Design Team of Dahlan Netsch and Karen Shoaff start taking photos and assembling creative composits to promote the show from the very beginning.
Our web site goes live and our IMDB pages go up!
Planning starts, and then more and more planning, because after all,
It's not the time it takes to take the takes that takes the time...
It's the time between the takes, that takes the time!
Production Manager Louise Liebi and First Assistant Director Jesse Hyatt start coordinating
a ton of paperwork including budget, crew positions, and the schedule ahead.
CONCEPT AND DETERMINATION
Writer / Director Chuck Pelletier and Producer Cynthia Webster
discuss the possibility of creating an original comedy series combining elements from successful television shows from the past, with current events and concepts truly relevent to today's streaming audiences. Thus our new episodic screwball comedy series 99 Percent Gang is born!
The two finance the series out of pocket with plans to sell completed shows to the networks.
They green light their own project and start developing the first season of episodes.
